Tattoos are life marks!

When you get a tattoo, it is a part of you forever (presumably). Some say, "What is their purpose?" "Why would you desicrate your body?" "It will stretch and fade until it is unrecognizble!" "But it's permanent! What if you get tired of it?"

After a while, your tattoo becomes invisible to you, it is there just like your nose or your fingernails. It is your second-skin, so to speak. And, even better then hair-dye or eye-shadow, it is permanent. You get to keep this beautiful, meaningful, and interesting image with you as long as you want it. You don't stop loving yourself just because you have stretched out and become less recognizable, do you? Well, you shouldn't.

Tattoos are like birth-marks, except, you don't get them in birth, you get them in life. So I say "Tattoos are life-marks!"
