Time to relax

Today is my day off! Well, I have to write a paper sometime, but for the most part I'm going to sit around in my PJ's! LOL, there's me in my new glasses.

There's my house on the hill on a sunny day last week. It is so nice to see Spring on it's way in. We have had couple leaks in the roof, so, while the rain is a welcome reprieve to the drought, it is also unwelcome to this sun lover.

So this weekend I am going back home to visit family and friends. My grandma was diagnosed with cervical cancer last week, and it is hitting me hard. I'm internalizing it, but it won't get out of my head. So I decided I'd go visit. I am also attending the Bridal shower of my soon-to-be step-sister-in-law tomorrow. After that I plan to hang out with Natalie and Jessica, who I never get to see.

So it will be fun to get away and relax. Also, with Tim working Thursday-Tuesdays, he won't miss me as much. The dogs will miss me though : )

Time alone. . .

So Tim got a job! Yeah! Woo Hoo! Yippee! No more sitting on the couch all day! The dogs wll be soo bored on my days at school when Tim is also at work, but they'll get over it when they start getting the high end dog food again, lol.

But. . .I don't know what to do with myself without anyone telling me to change the channel or stop typing so loud. I did some homework, I cooked a home-made meal, I mopped, I vaccumed, I spent as much time as I could on ITNO. I don't want to read a book for pleasure, because then I won't put it down and my HW surely won't get done. I don't want to read my assigned books, mostly because I hate being told what to read.

I have done 2 1/2 of my 6 papers due this week, but I can't really work on two of them yet. And I have a midterm this week. Perhaps I should be studying instead of typing? Well, only a little over 3 months until I graduate! So I only have 12 weeks of class to pass and I'm good!

OK, off to watch the Oscars (Go Slumdog Millionaire) and finish up this paper (boo case breifs). Well, hopefully. It's raining and windy so the power may just go out :(

BACK TO SCHOOL. . .

So, I realized today that I hadn't posted since the Saturday before school started up again and that was two weeks ago. I knew it was going to be crazy busy this semester. My grandpa even asked if I was studying too hard, to which I responded, "Yes Grandpa, I have too many classes." And he always tells me to study harder (since he has paid for most of my education), so if he noticed, that's kind of sad.

The number of books I have to read this semester has jumped from 16 to 20! You can see 15 of them in that picture. And I have to write at least two papers a week, oh joy. I should be writing one right now. . .

I woke up with a sore throat this morning, and now I think I know what caused it. Yelling at Jasper to stop trying to breed with Lily. Lily is in heat, but they bred days ago, so I don't want them breeding again for her health. Plus he whines NON-STOP! Shut-up Jasper!

On the bright side, my mom came to visit yesterday, and she bought us a ton of groceries. That will really help over the next couple of weeks since all our money iss going to bills, and it still isn't enough :( So last night we had chicken and beer that she bought, and this morning I had peanut-butter M&M's and Sunny D she got us. She got us the good stuff, lol.

Ok, back to studying, hopefully. . .
